Your personal brand is speaking, even when you’re not.

2763806462_8e78ae1a91_mYour personal brand is the story of you. It’s your legacy. Told externally by who you are, what you do, and how you do it, it comes from within, and organizes your reality. How well you tell your story is based on what you pull up internally and determine to be real and different about who you are. This can be good, bad, or ugly. You choose.

Building a personal brand is the conscious action of compiling your unique stock of strengths and attributes, and bringing them to the forefront of who you are, while downplaying or moving away from your weak areas. Think cosmetics – by intentionally highlighting your best features and shadowing your weak spots, you create the best image of yourself, while still being you. The goal is to keep it natural [authentic] and beautiful [the highest vision of you].

The result is an intentionally crafted persona that follows you through life, telling your story for you. It’s the message you convey when you’re not speaking, the idea you leave behind with others, and the unique position you create in the world. If you don’t intentionally create a brand that uniquely sets you apart from the 7+ billion other people on the planet, then your story is just common.

And we rarely remember common.

Be meticulous in building your personal legacy (believe me, its super fun) and I guarantee the results will move you in a direction you want to go in.
